In 2014, the Aupadama Association continued with enthusiasm its work to help children trough several projects in Switzerland and abroad.
The seventh edition of our Swiss project «in Leysin» took place in Summer 2014. The goal of the project is to allow children of disadvantage communities leaving in Switzerland to spend holidays with their parents. Families are being selected by our partners, the Social Center of Ouest Lausannois in Renens and the Social Center of Prilly-Echallens.
We continue as well our long lasting project in Tibet with our local partner the Peu-La Association. The Aupadama Association currently heps the schools of two villages in the northern provinces of Tibet.
In Cambodia, after helping village children by distributing bread and clothing, we decided to launch a new project which would lead the people to take more responsibility for themselves : we began to distribute seeds for the cultivation of vegetables. The selected families were able to improve the living standards and the well-being of their children by giving them better food and access to eduction. The Aupadama Comittee wishes to continue with this projet and to increase the number of families involved in the scheme in 2014.
In Vietnam, after the renovation of a home hosting unwed mothers and their children, we began the building of a new maternal school.
